A compact borough on York Road, with the Warminster Line running through the middle. Close-set roofs that need a crew working in tight quarters.
Hatboro is a borough of about eight thousand people wrapped around York Road, with SEPTA’s Warminster Line cutting through the middle. The oldest housing is pre-war twin and frame stock near the tracks and Main Street. Around it sit ranchers and split-levels from the fifties and sixties. Lots are narrow, driveways are short, and neighbors are close on both sides.
That shapes the job more than the shingle does. We stage dumpsters and materials where they do not block a neighbor, protect plantings and cars, and sweep magnets over every foot of ground before we leave. Roof permits for Hatboro homes are issued by Hatboro Borough under the PA Uniform Construction Code.

Hatboro Borough does, under the PA Uniform Construction Code. Montgomery County is not involved in residential roof permits anywhere in Pennsylvania. We handle the application and the inspection as part of the job, and you get copies for your records and for a future buyer.
No. We can re-roof one side and terminate cleanly at the party wall with proper counterflashing, though it does leave a visible line until the other side is done. If both owners want to go together we will price it that way, which usually lowers cost per side.
Heat escaping into the attic melts snow, the melt runs to a cold overhang and refreezes. Older Hatboro houses often have shallow eaves and little intake ventilation, which makes it routine. Ice-and-water underlayment plus balanced soffit and ridge venting addresses the cause, not just the symptom.
Less than you expect. On narrow lots we plan the dumpster, the ladder line and the material drop before day one, tarp what needs covering, and keep one side of the drive clear where we can. Cleanup includes magnet sweeps across lawn, beds and sidewalk.
