A postal name spread across three townships along Huntingdon Pike, with wooded parcels above the Pennypack Creek.
Huntingdon Valley is a mailing name rather than a municipality, and it reaches across Lower Moreland, Upper Moreland and Abington townships, with slivers over the Bucks County line. Huntingdon Pike runs its length and the Pennypack Creek runs below it, through the woods and meadows of Lorimer Park. Fetter’s Mill Village survives at one end. Housing is overwhelmingly detached, rural into the 1950s and suburban after.
The practical consequence is that two neighbors can permit through different offices. We confirm which township your parcel falls in before filing anything. For the Lower Moreland portion, roof permits are issued by Lower Moreland Township under the PA Uniform Construction Code.
The full Maze Roofing range, residential and commercial, from the local team.

Storm damage, active leaks and fallen trees, with 24/7 phone response.
Tall canopy over long roof planes keeps slopes shaded and loaded with debris, while the valley bottom holds humidity that turns up in the attic instead.
Humid valley air and blocked soffits leave moisture on the underside of the decking.
Oak and tulip poplar keep valleys and gutters packed through both fall and spring.
Wide ranch and split-level roofs need correct ridge and soffit balance to vent at all.
Lower Moreland, Upper Moreland and Abington each permit their own share of Huntingdon Valley.
Same office, same crews, a short drive away.
Not one, which surprises people. Huntingdon Valley addresses fall in Lower Moreland, Upper Moreland or Abington Township depending on the parcel, and each issues its own permits under the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. We look up the municipality before we file. Montgomery County does not issue residential roofing permits at all.
Often condensation rather than a leak. Humid air from the valley gets into the attic, and with soffit intake blocked by insulation it condenses on cold decking and drips. The clue is staining that appears in cold weather and spreads evenly rather than tracking from one point. Fixing the ventilation path is the repair.
Not all of them, but the limbs actually touching or overhanging the roof are worth removing. They abrade the covering in wind, keep the slope from drying, and drop the debris that packs your valleys. Trimming back to give the roof sun and airflow does more for its life than any product applied to the surface.
Yes. Our Wayne office covers Montgomery, Delaware, Chester and Bucks counties in Pennsylvania, so the Bucks County edge of the Huntingdon Valley postal area is included. The permit still comes from whichever municipality your property is in, and we confirm that as part of the estimate rather than after.
