A compact borough beside Telford that grew in bursts, from Main Street twins to postwar blocks. Whole streets now reach replacement age together.
Souderton is a borough of roughly seven thousand, built in distinct waves. The Main Street core is pre-war twin and frame housing. Around it are blocks put up in the fifties and sixties, and a smaller ring of later building out toward Franconia Township and Route 113. Because each wave went up quickly, the roofs on a given street tend to reach the end of their service life within a few years of each other.
If two neighbors have already re-roofed, yours is worth looking at. We inspect, tell you how much life is left, and do not push a replacement a year early. When it is time, the permit is issued by Souderton Borough under the PA Uniform Construction Code.
The full Maze Roofing range, residential and commercial, from the local team.
Shingle, tile, metal and flat roofing for homes and townhomes across the area.
Shingle, tile, metal, flat and TPO. Managed from tear-off to cleanup.
Flat, TPO and metal systems, with maintenance programs that protect the asset.
Storm damage, active leaks and fallen trees, with 24/7 phone response.
Streets built in one push wear out in one push, so a run of new roofs on your block is a fair signal that yours is close behind.
An honest read on how many winters the existing roof still has.
Clean flashing where your roof stops at the neighbor’s on shared-wall houses.
Ice-and-water underlayment laid at the eaves and valleys against freeze-thaw backup.
Roof replacement permits are issued by Souderton Borough, not the county.
Same office, same crews, a short drive away.
Age plus what we find. Curled or bald shingles across whole slopes, granule loss in the gutters and soft spots in the deck point to replacement. A leak at one flashing on an otherwise sound roof is a repair. We show you photographs of what we saw rather than asking you to take our word.
Yes. Residential roof replacement is permitted work under the PA Uniform Construction Code, and the application goes to Souderton Borough. We pull it and handle the inspection. Keep the closed-out paperwork, because buyers and their inspectors ask for it years later.
It cycles. Water gets into small gaps, freezes overnight, expands and works them wider, week after week. Snow melting on a warm deck refreezes at the eaves and backs up under shingles. Ice-and-water underlayment and real attic ventilation are the two things that answer both.
Usually close, and sometimes exactly if the line is still made. Tell us what you are trying to match and we will bring samples. On twins we would rather match the adjoining half than the street, since that seam is the part anyone actually sees.
