Less than a square mile of borough on the Black Horse Pike. Roof replacement on pre-war and post-war houses, permitted through Mount Ephraim.
Mount Ephraim is under a square mile, squeezed between Audubon, Bellmawr and Haddon Township with the Black Horse Pike running through it. The houses are a straightforward mix: 1920s twins and foursquares on the older blocks, Capes and ranches from the 1940s and 1950s filling the rest. Nothing here is far from anything else.
Small borough, simple process. We measure, quote what we can see and what we expect to find, and do the filing ourselves. Roofs get architectural asphalt, new metal at the eaves and valleys, and vent boots replaced as a matter of course. Mount Ephraim Borough’s construction office issues the permit and inspects the work under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
The full Maze Roofing range, residential and commercial, from the local team.
Shingle, tile, metal and flat roofing for homes and townhomes across the area.
Shingle, tile, metal, flat and TPO. Managed from tear-off to cleanup.
Flat, TPO and metal systems, with maintenance programs that protect the asset.
Storm damage, active leaks and fallen trees, with 24/7 phone response.
Mount Ephraim runs its own construction office, so the permit, the inspection and any question about your roof stay inside the borough.
Attached houses need counterflashing at the shared wall where the two roof planes meet.
Houses along the highway corridor take more wind and grit on the windward slope.
Cracked rubber boots around vent stacks leak long before the surrounding shingle fails.
Mount Ephraim Borough’s construction office permits and inspects every roof replacement here.
Same office, same crews, a short drive away.
Yes. Roof replacement is permitted work under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code, and in Mount Ephraim the permit comes from the borough’s construction office. We prepare and submit the application, pull the permit before the tear-off, and meet the inspector at the end.
The borough. New Jersey handles construction enforcement at the municipal level, so Mount Ephraim’s own construction official inspects your roof. Camden County does not issue or inspect roofing permits anywhere in the county, including here. We file the application and meet the inspector on the day.
Most houses in Mount Ephraim are small enough to strip and re-roof in a day or two, weather permitting. Twins and houses with porch roofs or unexpected decking damage take longer. We tell you the plan before we start, and we do not leave a roof open overnight.
Heat escaping into the attic melts snow up the slope, and the runoff refreezes at the cold eave where there is no heated space beneath. That ice dam backs water under the shingles. The answer is ice-and-water membrane at the eaves plus enough soffit intake to keep the deck cold.
