Local Roofing In Lee County

Ground zero for Ian, and still rebuilding

Hurricane Ian came ashore on Lee County in September 2022 as a catastrophic Category 4, and no county in Florida took more of it. Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel, Matlacha and Pine Island were the worst hit, and four years later the rebuild is still visible everywhere you drive.
Lee is also the most fragmented county we work in. Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach each run their own building department, and everything else permits through the county. Seven authorities for one county. Knowing which one applies to your address is part of the job.

Roofing In Lee County

Six cities, one county, seven permit desks

Lee County has more separate building jurisdictions than anywhere else we work, and the post-Ian rebuild has kept all of them busy.

24/7 emergency leak and tarp response.

Post-Ian workmanship

A vast amount of roofing went on fast between 2022 and 2024. Not all of it was detailed properly.

Canal and island exposure

Cape Coral canals, Pine Island, Sanibel and Captiva all carry constant salt load on fixings.

Mass-built inland stock

Lehigh Acres and North Fort Myers are huge platted areas where roofs come due in waves.

Permit jurisdiction

We confirm which of the seven authorities covers your address before filing anything.

Lee County FAQ

Common questions

My roof was done after Ian. Is it worth checking?

My roof was done after Ian. Is it worth checking?

Yes, and this is the most common thing we are called about in Lee County. Enormous volumes of roofing went on under pressure, some by contractors who have since left the state. We check fastening, flashing and the permit record and tell you honestly whether the work holds up.

It depends entirely on your address. Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Bonita Springs, Estero, Sanibel and Fort Myers Beach each have their own building department, and everywhere else in the county goes through Lee County Community Development. We establish which applies before anything is filed.

Yes, including Sanibel, Captiva, Pine Island, Matlacha and Boca Grande. Island work has its own constraints around access and salt exposure and we price it accordingly rather than pretending it is the same as a mainland job.

Yes. An estimate costs you nothing and carries no obligation. If the roof has years left, we will say so.
