Charleston Park is a very small community in the far northeast of Lee County with SR 80 forming its northern edge, around two hundred and thirty-five residents on about a tenth of a square mile. It is a historic farmworker community, predominantly African American and Hispanic, and its population has moved up and down over the decades rather than growing steadily.
It is exactly the kind of place that gets skipped by contractors chasing volume on the coast. The housing is modest and the honest work is repair where repair will do, with clear pricing and no invented urgency.
