Repairs, replacements and free inspections at Bayport, where the Weeki Wachee River meets the Gulf.
Bayport sits at the mouth of the Weeki Wachee River on the Gulf at about three feet of elevation. It was a working cotton and supply port in the eighteen fifties and briefly the county seat before 1856, and Union blockaders intercepted runners off here during the Civil War. The county marina and park were rebuilt in 2008.
Today it is around forty-five residents. Like Pine Island it is about as exposed as Florida gets: river mouth, open Gulf, low ground and marsh. It was among the communities flooded during Idalia. There is no large market here, but the houses that are here still need roofs that will hold.
The full Maze Roofing range, residential and commercial, from the local team.
Shingle, tile, metal and flat roofing for homes and townhomes across the area.
Shingle, tile, metal, flat and TPO. Managed from tear-off to cleanup.
Flat, TPO and metal systems, with maintenance programs that protect the asset.
Storm damage, active leaks and fallen trees, with 24/7 phone response.
Bayport takes weather off the Gulf and water up the Weeki Wachee River at the same time, and it flooded during Idalia in 2023.
No shelter at all from the Gulf side. Uplift at edges and ridges is the first failure.
River mouth and open Gulf. Corrosion on fixings is constant and unavoidable.
Three feet up at a river mouth means water reaches these properties readily.
Few contractors bother coming here. We list it because we do.

We will. It is a very small community at the end of the road and it gets overlooked, which is precisely why it has its own page here rather than being folded into somewhere else. The inspection is free and we will give you a straight answer about the roof.
Once a year and again after any significant storm is sensible on this coast. It is not about finding something every time. It is that the small things found early here turn into large things faster than they do inland, because of the salt and the wind.
Yes. We inspect, photograph and write up what we find clearly so you have a factual record. We will not tell you a roof is destroyed when it is repairable, and that honesty is what makes the documentation worth having.
Yes. An estimate costs you nothing and carries no obligation. If the roof has years left, we will say so.
