Repairs, replacements and free inspections on Pine Island, at the end of Pine Island Drive on the Gulf.
Pine Island is a tiny coastal community on the Gulf forming the northern edge of Rock Island Bay, between itself and Bayport. Pine Island Drive is the only road in, running about seven miles southeast to US 19 and SR 50 at Weeki Wachee. Alfred McKethan Park sits here, the only real swimming beach in Hernando County.
There are around forty-five homes. They are as exposed as anything in the county: open Gulf on one side, marsh on the other, one way in and out. Idalia put roughly four feet of water over Pine Island Drive in 2023 and the island was closed after Helene in 2024.
The full Maze Roofing range, residential and commercial, from the local team.
Shingle, tile, metal and flat roofing for homes and townhomes across the area.
Shingle, tile, metal, flat and TPO. Managed from tear-off to cleanup.
Flat, TPO and metal systems, with maintenance programs that protect the asset.
Storm damage, active leaks and fallen trees, with 24/7 phone response.
Open Gulf frontage, three feet of elevation nearby, and a single access road that goes under water in a serious storm.
Nothing stands between these roofs and open water. Edge and ridge detail is everything.
Fixings and flashing corrode here faster than anywhere else in Hernando County.
Pine Island Drive floods. Scheduling has to work around tide and weather.
Idalia in 2023 and Helene in 2024 both put water across this community.
Same office, same crews, a short drive away.

Properly specified metal with corrosion-resistant fixings is the sensible answer, but the specification matters far more than the product. Out here the salt gets to the fasteners and the flashing long before it touches the covering, and that is where these roofs actually fail.
It can be, and we would rather tell you that up front. One road in means we plan deliveries and staging carefully and occasionally move a day around weather. You will hear about any change from us before it becomes an issue.
Yes. Surge works the structure from below while wind works the roof from above, and they are separate kinds of damage from the same storm. A roof that did not leak at the time can still have lifted and reseated, and that shows up a season or two later.
Yes. An estimate costs you nothing and carries no obligation. If the roof has years left, we will say so.
