Project Overview
A full asphalt shingle roof replacement for a single-family home in Boynton Beach. The worn roof was removed down to the deck and rebuilt with a fresh architectural shingle system built for Palm Beach County's sun, rain and coastal storm exposure.
The Challenge

Where the roof started

So close to the coast, wind uplift and wind-driven rain are the biggest threats to a shingle roof. The focus here was a fully sealed underlayment and high-wind fastening so the roof stays watertight through storm season.
The existing deck was inspected and any soft sheathing replaced
A continuous secondary moisture barrier was installed beneath the shingles
Every shingle course was fastened to the high-wind nailing pattern

Project FAQ

Questions about this project

How do I know if I need a new roof or just a repair?

If shingles are widely curling, cracking or missing and leaks keep returning, a full replacement usually costs less over time than repeated repairs.

Often yes, a new, code-compliant roof with proper wind ratings can improve insurability and may qualify for premium credits after a wind-mitigation inspection.

Most work stays outside and homeowners can remain in the home; we protect landscaping and finish with a full clean-up and magnetic nail sweep.
