Local Roofing In Burlington County

One county, four housing eras

Burlington County is the largest county in New Jersey by land area, and it changes character three times on the way across. The river towns of Palmyra, Riverton and Burlington City hold nineteenth-century frame and brick houses with steep pitches and porch roofs. Willingboro was New Jersey’s Levittown, block after block of 1950s ranches and split-levels. Moorestown, Mount Laurel and Cinnaminson carry colonials and townhome tracts. Past Medford it turns to Pinelands, wooded lots and shaded slopes.
We inspect first and tell you what we find. Architectural asphalt shingle covers most of this work, with ice-and-water membrane at eaves and valleys, EPDM or TPO on flat porch roofs and additions, and a repair when a repair is the honest answer. Permits go through each town’s municipal construction office under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code, and we close them out.

Roofing In Burlington County

Burlington County roofs age by town, not by county.

A 1910 river-town roof, a Levitt ranch in Willingboro and a 1998 colonial in Mount Laurel fail in three different places, so the inspection matters more than the brochure.

Ice at the eaves

Freeze-thaw cycling backs water up at the eave line, and the cause is usually the attic.

Algae streaking

Those dark vertical stripes are algae, common here, and they are not the same thing as failure.

Flat sections

Porch roofs, additions and rear extensions run low-slope and need EPDM or TPO, not shingle.

Municipal permits

Every town pulls its own permit through its construction office under the state code.

Burlington County FAQ

Common questions

Does Burlington County issue the roofing permit, or does my town?

Does Burlington County issue the roofing permit, or does my town?

Your town does. New Jersey permitting is municipal, so the application goes to the construction office in Moorestown, Mount Laurel, Medford, Willingboro or wherever you live, under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. The state also requires the contractor doing the work to hold home improvement contractor registration. We file the permit and close out the inspection.

The whole county, from the river towns down through the Route 38 and Route 73 suburbs and into the Pinelands townships. Maze Roofing is new to Greater Philadelphia and running this market from Cherry Hill office, with the same company behind it that has completed more than 2,700 projects since 2006. Call (856) 519-0640 and we will tell you honestly when we can get there.

Ice dams are an attic problem showing up on the roof. Heat escaping into the attic melts snow on the upper slope, the water refreezes at the cold eave, and the next melt has nowhere to go but sideways under the shingles. The durable fix is ventilation, insulation and ice-and-water membrane at the eaves and valleys.

Often yes. Wind and hail are the normal storm-damage path in South Jersey, and a nor’easter or a summer thunderstorm cell can do real work on an older roof. We document what we find with photos and measurements so you have something factual to hand your adjuster. We will also tell you when the damage is too small to be worth a claim.
