Repairs, replacements and free inspections for Palmetto homes and businesses, on the north bank of the Manatee River.
Palmetto is really two towns in one. The historic district between the river and 21st Avenue holds a few hundred buildings from the early 1900s through the 1940s, including the 1914 Carnegie Library and the 1930 Woman Club. Out toward I-75 and US 301 the newer side is Artisan Lakes, Trevesta, Willow Walk, Riviera Dunes and Sanctuary Cove.
Those two halves need different things from a roofer. The old core is about century-old framing, low-pitch porches and additions that were never quite sealed. The newer subdivisions are about tile underlayment and getting the paperwork through a CDD or HOA. We work on both sides of town.

Helene pushed water 6.04 feet above the normal high tide at Port Manatee in September 2024, breaking the record Idalia had set the year before.
On a low-pitch roof it is the rain getting under the covering, not the covering blowing off, that does the damage.
In the historic district we expect to find rot at the eaves and around porch tie-ins, and we look for it.
With the river on one side and Terra Ceia Bay on the other, fasteners and flashing corrode faster here than inland.
The newer communities have their own approval steps. We prepare the submittal rather than leaving it to you.

That depends on local rules rather than the National Register listing itself, and listing alone does not restrict private exterior work. We confirm the current requirement with the city for your specific address before we start, because it is not something to guess at.
Usually a product submittal and a colour selection from an approved range. Florida law now limits how far an association can go in refusing code-compliant hurricane-rated roofing on looks alone. We put the package together and submit it.
It is worth a look. Wind lifts and reseats coverings without an obvious leak, and the damage shows up a season or two later. An inspection now is free and tells you whether you have a problem waiting.
Yes. An estimate costs you nothing and carries no obligation. If the roof has years left, we will say so.
