Westville packs roughly four thousand people into about a square mile of dry land between Big Timber Creek and Route 130. The housing is mostly early twentieth century: narrow lots, twins and singles set close, porch roofs that were added or enclosed later, and full-height second stories with steep pitches. Almost none of these roofs are original. Most have been covered over at least once, some twice.
That history is the job. We check what is actually under the top layer before quoting, because a second tear-off changes the deck work, the ventilation and the flashing at the neighbor-side walls. Permits for replacement go through the Borough of Westville construction office under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.
