The least dense township in Gloucester County. Roofing for South Harrison’s farmhouses, barns and large-lot new construction.
South Harrison is the thinnest-settled municipality in Gloucester County, roughly a thousand housing units spread across sixteen square miles. Route 45, Swedesboro Road and Commissioners Pike carry most of the traffic, and the addresses along them are mostly Harrisonville. Housing runs from preserved farmhouses with steep gables and later additions, to substantial newer homes built one or two at a time on cleared parcels. There is very little in between and almost nothing in a row.
Working out here means no shared driveways to block and no neighbor’s siding to protect, but also nothing shielding a roof from weather. We spec edge detail accordingly. Replacements are permitted and inspected through the South Harrison Township construction office under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code.

Gusts that a dense street would break up arrive here at full strength, and they work on ridge caps, rake edges and any shingle already lifting.

Long simple slopes on accessory buildings where standing-seam metal often outlasts shingle.
Ice-and-water underlayment at eaves and valleys on steep older farmhouse roofs.

Same office, same crews, a short drive away.
The township’s own construction office, under the New Jersey Uniform Construction Code. Gloucester County does not issue building permits. Harrisonville, Cedar Grove and the rest of the township all file in the same place, and we do the filing as part of the job.
Usually yes, and it often saves money on setup and disposal. Barns and outbuildings frequently make more sense in standing-seam metal than in shingle, so the two quotes may specify different systems. We will explain why for each building.
We look at whether the field shingles are still flexible and well adhered. If they are, ridge and rake repair is the right-sized fix. If the mat is brittle and the same edge has lifted before, that roof is telling you it is done.
No. We bring the dump trailer as close to the house as the ground will safely allow, tarp the work area, and run a magnet over the drive and lawn at the end. Long approaches are normal out here and we plan the staging before the crew arrives.
